Minimum Requirements for Entry
Returning member clubs will be selected based off results of the 2011 seasonal year and compliance with the minimum standards. For new Super Y-League applicants, the clubs must be at the highest competitive levels within their State/Region/Province (Canada). Each organization must secure a facility within the minimum standards of the league. All teams must have a team manager for the duration of the season that will be responsible for all team management, communication, scheduling and registration.

Geographic Composition
New England, Mid Atlantic, South Atlantic, Mid South, Southeast, Midwest, Pacific Southern California, and Rocky Mountain Divisions

Schedule
The regular season will consist of 8-18 matches (8-10 for Super-20 League Teams) depending on the division and the age group. The total point leader within the division, and also the appropraite number of bid alloactions per division, will culminate the season with the Super Y-League North American Finals.

Season Dates
Regular season play for the Super Y-League will begin no earlier than March 1, 2012 depending on the geographic division. The regular season will culminate October 1, 2012. Depending on the Division, league dates will vary due to weather conditions and soccer calendar. The Super-20 League season will begin in May and end no later than early July, just prior to the Super-20 Finals.

League Fees
The league fees cover administration, scheduling, referee assignment, public relations, marketing, regular season standings, statistics, website, and the staging of the Super Y-League North American Finals. 

Performance Bond
Each club will be required to provide a Cash Bond or Letter of Credit of $500.00 per team to ensure that the commitments of each of the clubs’ minimum standards requirements.

Rosters
Club pass system (18 players max per game day roster).

Player Identification
The Super Y-League has an official Olympic Development Program sanctioned by the United States Olympic Committee and the United States Soccer Federation to identify players to U.S. National Team Programs. 

Immigration/Nationality
No restrictions, but players must gain or prove international clearance if born in countries other than the US or Canada.

Recruiting
No restrictions. Teams may recruit players year round. The Super Y-League is not subject to USYS State Association "poaching" laws. USSF Bylaws allow for coaches of USSF member organizations to recruit year round for a player’s participation in the Super Y-League.
