2009 SYL ODP Select Player Lists
United Soccer Leagues is pleased to announce the players nominated and selected for the 2008/09 Super Y-League ODP National Camps. The collective efforts of our national and divisional scouts as well as club coaches have helped identify the top 2% of players in the Super Y-League. This smaller and more elite group will have a greater chance of national or international recognition. The ODP focus groups this year will be for the top players (204 Girls & 204 Boys) born in either 1992, 1993, or a combination of 1994/1995 players. The additional lists showing those players born in 1990 & 1991 are posted to recognize the top players from that age group. That list will be promoted to over 500 colleges as well as to the USSF National Staff or the Canadian Soccer Association.
The dates for the Super Y-League ODP National Camps are as follows (includes arrival day of Wednesday):
February 18-22, 2009 – 1994/95 Girls, 1993 Girls, 1992 Girls
February 25 – March 1, 2009 – 1994/95 Boys, 1993 Boys, 1992 Boys
Below are the calendar year lists of players who have been selected to attend the Super Y-League ODP National Camps. The list is split into “First Selections” and “Alternates.” First Selections will be sent invitation letters and registration instructions directly over the next few days. First Selection players that cannot attend the camps should notify Craig Hughes immediately at odp@uslsoccer.com or by calling him at #813.963.3909 x. 226. The Alternates list are those players deserving of national recognition in ranked order by the scouting network, but they will only be contacted to register for the camps as spots open up.
Once players are registered, confirmation packets will be prepared and sent in December with more details on the camps. This packet will include directions on how players will need to update their player passes now that the Super Y-League is no longer utilizing US Club Soccer for our registration needs.

The combined age groups below represent the top players in the league that have proven their abilities throughout the season and have earned the honor of being named Super Y-League National ODP Players for their respective age groups. This National Select pool will be promoted to over 500 colleges as well as to the USSF National Staff or the Canadian Soccer Association. Congratulatory letters of this achievement will be sent to each of these players.
