Super Y-League Select '91's finalize game plan
The USL Super Y-League 1991 Select Team arrived Wednesday, July 27 in Zurich, Switzerland in preparation for the International Swiss U16 Cup. The prestigious European tournament features the Super Y-League National Select Team, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Liechtenstein National Team, FC St. Gallen, Chelsea, FC Basel, VFB Stuttgart, and FC Anderlicht.  Jim Sidick, Team Manager, will be keeping a daily journal of the teams training, matches, and events on the tour.

Day Two
Today was the first day of training. It was another very hot day in Europe. Being the first day, we only had one training session this morning to get the players loose. There are many talented players on the team. Our team chemistry is quickly bonding.

Most of the training was focused on speed of play, which was well witnessed by the boys during Liverpool’s training session yesterday evening.  After the work out, we all walked down to the lake to cool off.  The players have been anxious to begin playing matches.

After tomorrows training session, we should have a game plan in place and be ready to test it on Saturday’s friendly with St. Galler Oberland. We have been quite impressed with the hospitality of the host city. Our accommodations have been fantastic and the food has been outstanding.
