Youth academies of PDL Reading Rage and USL-2 Crystal Palace FC USA join the 2008 SYL Mid Atlantic Division

TAMPA, FL – Juventus Sport Club and newcomer, San Ramon Soccer Club will join United Soccer Leagues Super Y-League Northern California Division this weekend when they face Bayside Soccer Academy in several girls matches. Also, the affiliate youth academies of the Premier Development League’s Reading Rage and USL Second Division Crystal Palace FC USA will join the 2008 Super Y-League Mid Atlantic season when they square off in U13 boys action on Sunday, April 13.

The Rage’s U14 girls officially open the club’s 2008 USL campaign against TSF Academy on Saturday, April 12. Reading’s U16 boys are also set to play Saturday against the South Jersey Barons’ U16 boys.

Bayside Academy, featured in USLSoccer.com’s Week 3 SYL Update, opened their SYL season against the De Anza Force on Saturday, March 29. The two clubs split the three game set right down the middle as Bayside claimed a 1-0 victory in the U13 girls match, De Anza leveled the club series with a 1-0 win in U15 girls action and their U17 girls drew even at goal apiece. All of Bayside’s five girls squads play this weekend.

Bayside’s adversary this weekend, Juventus SC, had a successful SYL season in 2007. Four of SC’s ten teams qualified for North American Finals play with their U14 boys showing best, going 2-1-0 against the best U14 competition in North America.
Back in the Mid Atlantic Division, the Rage’s U16 boys carried the club’s banner into the 2007 North American Finals. There, the Rage went 1-1-1 against the Los Angeles Futbol Academy, Seacoast United and Northern Virginia Royals.

Crystal Palace FC USA is a first-year member of the Super Y-League competing in the U13 boys division of the Mid Atlantic.
