TAMPA, FL – One club, playing in United Soccer Leagues Super Y-League Northwest Division for the first time this season is capitalizing on their extensive history outside of the SYL. Founded in 1980, the Evergreen Soccer Club located in Everett, Washington has been among the leaders in player development for more than 25 years. Now they look to further their game in the Super Y-League.

Evergreen’s history has allowed the club to quickly adapt to the competitive environment of the Super Y-League in just their first season of competition. And with a current club record of 8-4-6 through Tuesday, they may be one of the only first-year clubs booking travel to Tampa in November, the site of the 10th Anniversary Super Y-League North American Finals.

Although still early in the season, two of Evergreen’s four teams remain undefeated. Their U13 boys are 2-0-4, good enough for fourth in the division. In their most recent action, the U13’s drew 0-0 with the Spokane Spiders on Sunday, June 22. In six matches the boys have netted eight goals and allowed only four.

The other undefeated side under the Evergreen banner is the club’s U13 girls who were 1-0-1 following their 0-0 draw with the Yakima Reds in early May. The girls have yet to allow a goal through two matches.

The club’s U14 teams are a combined 5-4-1, with the girls holding a slight advantage over the boys following their 2-2 draw with Mountain WFC on Sunday, June 1. The U14 boys are 3-3-0 after they beat Spokane 1-0 on Sunday, June 22.
