BAYONNE, NJ – Match Fit Chelsea recently announced a major addition to its coaching staff. Dominick Bucci will be joining the club as Girl’s Director of Coaching. Malcolm Murphy, Director of Coaching and Player Development for Match Fit Chelsea, announced the addition, stating it will be a tremendous step forward for the club.

“Coach Bucci brings with him a history of coaching excellence,” said Murphy, “We share a common philosophy and a vision for how soccer players should be trained and developed.”

“I look forward to working with Coach Bucci,” added John Calcaterra, Match Fit Chelsea’s Director of Operations. “His reputation for excellence holds great promise for the club and our players.”

Dominick Bucci has worked with New Jersey ODP as a Head State Team Coach, US Club Soccer ID2 program, New Jersey Futsal, and the USL Super Y-League Regional and National Programs. In the last twelve years, Bucci has coached and guided many Premier Youth teams to State, Regional and National Titles. He has personally worked with over 10 Youth National Team players within his programs. Bucci is one of the most respected youth trainers/coaches and runs one of the most sought after Advanced Technical Programs in the Region. He has served as Girl’s Director of Coaching for the Parsippany Soccer Club and worked with other programs throughout New Jersey.

“I want to thank Malcolm, John, and the rest of the Match Fit Chelsea staff for this opportunity to be able to work with one of the most well established and highly respected Academy Programs in the country,” said Bucci. “I look forward to working with Malcolm to put together and implement one of the leading training programs for soccer education, instruction and development.”

Bucci has also seen much success at the USL Super-20 League level. His team, led by Ingrid Wells (Georgetown University, 2007 US U20 FIFA Women’s World Cup Champions), took the 2007 Super-20 League North American Finals title with a 1-0 decision over Quickstrike SC. The victory came in the second of three consecutive Super-20 Finals appearances for Bucci from 2006-2008.

“For the past twelve years, I have continuously worked to develop a training environment that has allowed players and teams that compete nationally at the highest level,” said Bucci. “My focus is on true player development. Our programs will be based upon an intense technical and tactical foundation.”

Bucci is the Owner and Director of All America Soccer Development LLC. He is a former High School All-American at St. Benedicts Prep in Newark and a Three-time Collegiate All-American. As a player, he has played at the State, Regional, Youth National Team levels and at the Professional Level. He holds a USSF ’A’ License and has coached at the Professional, Collegiate, Club and High School levels. Dominick also holds the NSCAA Director of Coaching certificate.

Bucci has trained, coached and managed Premier players and teams in New Jersey. Many of these teams have competed and continue to compete in the most competitive youth soccer leagues and showcases in the United States. Bucci has developed a national reputation for developing Premier players and teams and has helped place players into the best colleges and universities.

Bucci’s players over the past twelve years include United States National Team Players, United States Youth National Team Players, WPS Professional Players, USL W-League Players, USL Super Y-League National Team Players, ODP Regional Team Players, New Jersey State Team Players, three Girls NJ High School Players of the Year and two Girls Gatorade NJ High School Players of the Year.

“I am confident saying that when a player joins the Match Fit Chelsea Girls Program they will be exposed to the best possible training and coaching,” Bucci said. “In addition to academy team training and coaching, Match Fit Chelsea will offer players every possible type of training, such as Individual Training, our new Technical Training Academy, Goalkeeper training, and Speed/Conditioning training. We will also provide explanation, guidance and opportunities in the college recruitment process.”

To date Dominick’s presence has been very successful for the girl’s program at Match Fit Chelsea. Dominick and Match Fit Chelsea captured the 2009 U19 and U14 Girls State Championships. Many of the girls’ teams will be competing in Region 1 leagues this spring, and Match Fit Chelsea will be competing with a full complement of teams for the 2010 USL Super Y-League season.

“My goal here at Match Fit Chelsea will be to further provide the best possible training environment and continue to develop elite level players that are technically gifted and tactically sound,” said Bucci. “Players who are composed, confident, intelligent and creative risk takers on the field.”

“There are no short cuts to achieving this goal,” Bucci added. “It is all about PLAYER DEVELOPMENT. With the right development comes the right success. Many have lost focus on what this is all about. Many have been too focused on winning games, rather than developing players. At Match Fit Chelsea we will make sure that development always comes first and the winning will take care of itself.”
