Real Maryland Welcomes Cook Owner of Full Stride Fitness will be club's new head trainer

SILVER SPRING, Md. – As Real Maryland prepares for the upcoming 2012 season, the Monarchs are pleased to welcome Jennifer Cook, MS, ATC from Full Stride Wellness as the Club’s new Head Athletic Trainer.
A native of Roysterstown, Md., Cook graduated from North Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training in 2005. She continued her education at Towson University, where she earned her master’s degree in Health Administration in 2007 as a graduate assistant. At Towson, she also worked at Johns Hopkins with the cross-country, track, water polo, women’s soccer and tennis teams.
After receiving her MS at Towson, Ms. Cook joined Morgan State where she served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer while working with the cheerleading team and assisting with the football team. Prior to joining Real Maryland FC, Jennifer was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Tennessee Tech University.
Since returning home to the D.C. Metropolitan Area, Jennifer founded Full Stride Wellness. As owner of the facility, the center is able to provide countless opportunities to experience healthy living, from massage therapy and education courses for athletic trainers and physical therapist to kid skill camps and adult sports tournaments.
“With Jen’s experience in both the field of athletic training and health,” said General Manager David Noyes. “We are excited to add her to our staff and look forward to a positive 2012 season.
Real Maryland FC is a proud member of the United Soccer Leagues where it participates in the Premier Development League and the Super Y-League.
