TAMPA, FL – United Soccer Leagues announced today the Super Y-League Olympic Development Program Select Teams for the U16 and U17 Girls SYL ODP National Camps held last weekend at the Cocoa Expo Center in Cocoa, Florida.

The girls camps featured nearly 200 U16 and U17 players with 41players being named to SYL ODP Select Teams upon review by the SYL Scouting System and SYL ODP National Camp Technical Director Perry Van Der Beck.

“It was an excellent job this weekend by the girls,” said Van Der Beck. “Their performances were outstanding, which made the Select Teams selection process very difficult.”

Players were evaluated on their technique, tactics, fitness and psychology and will receive written reports for feedback on their performances.

The camps were the final set. They concluded a series of four weekends in five weeks that reviewed the top U13-U17 Boys and U14-U17 Girls from the 2004 Super Y-League season.
