Player Registration Requirements SYL / US Club Soccer Dual Registration
1. Initial Registration. To be eligible to participate in a SYL game, all SYL teams shall register their players and staff with US Club Soccer by:
A. Registering players and staff, and submitting a passcard request online.
B. Mailing to US Club Soccer proof of birth for players and a risk management form for staff. A new proof of birth for the same player does not need to be submitted if that team submitted one in prior years. A new staff risk form must be submitted annually.
C. Submitting the required registration fees to US Club Soccer.
D. Completing the initial registration process at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the team’s first SYL game. Thereafter, additional players may be added up to the SYL roster freeze.
2. SYL Dual Registration. A player may not be registered to more than one SYL member club at any one time.
3. Non-SYL Dual Registration. A player may be dual registered with a non-SYL US Club Soccer team and a SYL club team if:
A. The non-SYL team, the SYL team, and the player agree on the schedule and conditions for dual carding.
B. If the player were first registered to the SYL team, the SYL team completes and submits a US Club Soccer player loan form to both US Club Soccer and the SYL.
C. If the player were first registered with a non-SYL team, that team either completes and submits a player loan form, or confirms to US Club Soccer via email that the player may be carded to a SYL team.
D. Nevertheless, no player who has historically been on or is currently registered to only a SYL club may be loaned to a non-SYL club to participate in the US Club Soccer National Cup.
4. Expiration Date. The expiration date on all SYL cards shall be December 31st.
