Transportation
If a team is planning on flying to Portugal it is not to early to start looking at arrangements due to the probable heavy load of visitors expected to visit Euro 2004.
The Riba Oeste Festival will soon designate an official airline carrier in which teams will be encouraged to patronize, but are not required to do so. Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is served with direct non-stop service from Newark with Continental and TAP/Air Portugal. Equally, most Euorpean capitals have direct services to Lisbon, and from the rest of North America there are numerous connection possibilites, such as via London, Paris, Amsterdam or Madrid.
Before making any final arrangements with an airline, team managers are encouraged to visit this site to get further updates on developments regarding flying arrangements.
Domesticall teams will be expected to provide for their own trasnportation by leasing busses, vans or cars, although again official transportation partners will be available well in advance of the tournament, and it is hoped that some free trasportation will be possible between game sites. As a matter of reference a bus will cost about 250 Euros per day through the Riba Oeste resources.
