As Managing Director of Club Development and Communications, Weibe will guide the strategic direction of the USL Super Y-League along with assisting franchises and established youth clubs in understanding the benefits of becoming a fully vertically integrated soccer club through the USL system. Weibe will also oversee all USL strategic public relations and communications initiatives for USL.

From June of 1999 to January of 2006, Weibe served as the Director of the USL Super Y-League. Not only has he overhauled the player development system in the United States and Canada, Weibe has created a platform for elite players to extend their abilities to the highest-levels of the game within their playing career.  
During 2003, Weibe served as the developer of the country’s new Olympic Development Program, providing a national scouting system to identify players to US National Team Programs.  This program in conjunction with the Super Y-League has provided new resources to US National Team Coaching Staff to better identify players.

Weibe’s career path has included a wide variety of soccer management that spans over 15 years of experience; including overseeing tournaments and events, referee assignment, coaching, directing elite player camps, and United Soccer Leagues.  Since 2002, Weibe has served on the Board of Directors for the United States Soccer Federation, the governing body of soccer in the United States. 

Before coming to USL, Weibe was a standout student and soccer player at Bethany College (WV) from 1995 to 1999, where he majored in Sport Management.  In 1999, he received the college’s most prestigious business award recognizing him as the top entrepreneur at the institution.   Throughout his collegiate playing career, Weibe was four-time All-Conference defender, 1996 Player of the Year, captain of the squad, and led the Bison to a top-twenty ranking throughout his four years. He is actively involved in the Bethany Alumni Soccer Association, which is one of the most respected collegiate sports alumni associations in the country. 

Weibe is a native of Severna Park, Maryland.  He and his wife, Lauren, and daughter, Annalise, reside in Tampa, Florida.  Outside of the soccer business, Weibe enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
