Northern Virginia Goes UMBRO
Majestics, Royals, Super Y-League and Super-20 League sides change outfitter
The Northern Virginia Royals and Northern Virginia Majestics proudly announced a deal that names UMBRO as a primary sponsor of the Washington D.C. metro area soccer club. In a continuing effort to reaffirm the Northern Virginia Football Club’s (NVFC) commitment to the United Soccer Leagues (USL) and its partners, the Royals and Majestics launched the uniform, equipment, and branding partnership with UMBRO to run through 2012.
Super-20 League Opens Bidding Process for North American Finals

United Soccer Leagues announced today the opening of the application process for sites interested in hosting the fourth annual Super-20 League North American Finals. Prospective hosts must first meet a number of prearranged standards to be eligible for consideration. Applications should be submitted to USL’s Associate Director of Youth Operations, Kate Thibault, no later than Wednesday, April 1, 2009.

“The Charlotte area is a great place for soccer right now,” said Wiggins. “Charlotte area players returning home from college are hungry for a competitive environment and local college coaches would have somewhere to keep player development going during the off season. [The Super-20 League] allows local club players the opportunity to train at a high level during the summer. This can only help to enhance Meck Union’s development.”
